Techstream Customization List: What is included

Thanks a lot to bigbird1 for this detailed and comprehensive list on Techstream software!

Here's the list of most of the items that are customizable:

ECO driving light indicator on/off: done through multi-information display

Language and units for the gauges and meters: done through multi-information display

Drive information (fuel consumption, units, miles (km) to empty, average speed etc etc: done through multi-information display

Unlocking using a key: driver's door in 1 step, all doors in 2 steps (default) or all doors unlocked in 1 step: Techstream only

automatic door lock: shifting out of Park (default), locking once the vehicle hits 12 mph, or turning auto locking off: done through audio system screen

Note: for the auto headlight delay, it is adjustable, to turn the headlights off after all doors are closed, from immediately (no delay ), to 30s (default), 60s, or 90s.

you don't need Techstream to adjust this. It is done through the audio system touchscreen.

Yanhua mini ACDP Connect to PC Steps

Method one: Firstly bind the Yanhua MINI ACDP device with the mobile phone, then connect with the PC version and bind the ACDP.

1、Connect the ACDP device with a cell phone first, and confirm that the connection is normal (Picture 1). That is, the ACDP device and the phone are connected to the same WIFI. Then exit the APP or untie the device in "Cell phone bound to Mini ACDP device " (Picture 2 - Picture 3), so that the ACDP device can be bound and connected by another device (PC).

2、Please connect the PC to the same WIFI as the cell phone (selected the one among the following three options)

A. If there is a WIFI access of the PC, please do not use wired network and connect the same WIFI as the cell phone.

B. If the WIFI router connected by cell phone supports both wired and WIFI network, please use wire to connect the PC with the router.

C. If there is NO WIFI access of the PC, please insert a WIFI adapter in the USB port and unplug the network wire of PC, then connect the same WIFI connected by cell phone.

3、Open the ACDP software on PC, and click "Setting"

4、Click " Bound to Mini ACDP device" on ACDP software interface.

5、Select the corresponding device ID to bind.

Method two: Connect the PC via Bluetooth adapter

1、 Plug the Bluetooth adapter into the PC USB port ( Make sure the driver is installed) and the PC is connected to WIFI.

2、Open ACDP software on the PC desktop.

3、Click on SETTING in the red box as shown in the picture.

4、Click on "Initial use settings "

5、 Press and hold the "SET" button on the ACDP device for 7 seconds until the device buzzer's sounds, then release the "SET" button and click "Next".

6、 Initial use of settings (WIFI configuration)
If the PC is a laptop with WIFI access function, read 6.1
If the PC is connected through a WIFI router with wired network, read 6.2

6.1：If the PC with WIFI access function, Connect the PC to WIFI.

If the PC without WIFI access function, Connect the WIFI adapter with the PC USB, Connect the WIFI and follow the steps shown as below.

OtoSys IM100 Battery Management System (BMS) Service

The BMS allows the scan tool to evaluate the battery charge state, monitor the close-circuit current, register the battery replacement, and activate the rest state of the vehicle.

OtoSys IM100 Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Service

Steering Angle Sensor Calibration permanently stores the current steering wheel position as the straight-ahead position in the steering angle sensor EEPROM. Therefore, the front wheels and the steering wheel must be set exactly to the straight-ahead position before calibration. In addition, the vehicle identification number is also read from the instrument cluster and stored permanently in the steering angle sensor EEPROM. On successful completion of calibration, the steering angle sensor fault memory is automatically cleared.

OtoSys IM100 Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Service

The DPF function allows you to carry out numerous functions to the Diesel Particulate Filter system without having to send your car to a main dealer. The tool will manage DPF regeneration, DPF component replacement teachin and DPF teach-in after replacing the engine control unit. ECM monitors driving style and selects a suitable time to employ regeneration. Cars driven a lot at idling speed and low load will attempt to regenerate earlier than cars driven more with high load and high speed. In order for regeneration to take place, a prolonged high exhaust temperature must be obtained. In the event of the car being driven in such a way that regeneration is not possible, i.e. frequent short journeys, a diagnostic trouble code will eventually be registered, DPF light and "Check Engine" indicator comes on. A service regeneration can be requested in the workshop, using the diagnostic tool.

OtoSys IM100 Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) Service

This function allows you to quickly look up the tire sensor IDs from the vehicle's ECU, as well as to perform TPMS replacement and sensor test.

MB SD C4 09.2018 DAS Update: Fault (1.2)-2.503.9901 - Solved!

Here are remedies of the following DAS error "Fault (1.2)-2.503.9901" using SD connect C4 multiplexer on Windows 7, the error started with version 2017.07 but figured upgrading to XDOS 2018.09 would have solved the issue but still occurring.

Multiplexer: SD connect C4

Operation system: Windows 7

Software: DAS

Version: DAS version 2018.07 upgrading to version 2018.09

The error: Fault (1.2)-2.503.9901

Initialization of diagnosis multiplexer failed.
Possible causes.
The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnosis socket is interrupted.
The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnosis unit is interrupted.
The voltage supply at the diagnosis socket (circuit 30 and (or) circuit 31) is faulty.
Note:
When using SDconnect check the connection status using the Toolkit.

The fault (1.2)-2.503.9901 usually happens because of:
The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnosis unit is interrupted.

Remedy:1. use a good lan cable
2. set lan tcp/ip to:
ip address: 172.29.127.119
Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

Wirless_IP_set to C4

Lan_IP_set to C4you will see the status of connection happening in sdconnect toolkit in right bottom corner.

SOLUTION:

To save an ad-hoc network and its network key on the guest computer (running Windows 7)

Note down the SSID, security type, encryption type and the key of the ad-hoc network. Disconnect your connection to any wireless network and switch off/disable your wireless device. Turn on/enable your wireless device but don't connect to any network. (Thanks GK.)

Click on the network icon in the taskbar.

Click Open Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks > Add.

Click "Manually create a network profile". (This may look silly but we really are going to create an infrastructure network now.)

Enter the network name (SSID), security type, encryption type (if any) and the key that you noted in step 1.

Uncheck both checkboxes ("Start this connection automatically" and "Connect even if the network is not broadcasting".)

[Note that you cannot have the connection start automatically. If you try to have it checked, step 10 will fail. A different way to start it automatically during system boot is described below.]

Click Next > Close. Your connection must appear in the list with the icon suggesting infrastructure (two big screens connected to a tube). Don't worry about it.

Click Start, type in "cmd" in the search box, press Enter.

In the Command Prompt, type in "netsh wlan set profileparameter name=NetworkName ConnectionType=IBSS", exactly as shown, without quotes, except you must substitute NetworkName with the SSID (network name) of your ad-hoc network.

If everything went well, you'll see that the icon has now changed to an ad-hoc icon (three small screens connected to each other) in the Manage Wireless Networks window.

Turn on/enable your wireless device, and try connecting to the Ad-hoc network. You will notice that you no longer need to enter the network key.

To automatically connect to a saved ad-hoc network during Windows boot (can be applied to both guest and host computers running Windows 7)

Click Start > point to All Programs > right-click Startup > click Open. (You may choose Open All Users instead if you prefer).

Right-click an empty space and click New > Shortcut.

Type in "netsh wlan connect NetworkName". Once again, NetworkName must be substituted with the SSID of your ad-hoc network.

Click Next and enter a fancy name such as "Connect to NetworkName" or something like that.

Click Finish and you're done.

This shortcut will run when Windows starts up, giving you a very brief flash of the black command window, followed by your computer connecting to the ad-hoc network if it is available.

Tip: You can also pin the shortcut in your taskbar or copy it to the desktop to easily connect to the network any time you want. Note: You will probably need Administrator access to complete some of the steps above (in both procedures).

Why do you need to read I/M readiness status data?

Because I/M Readiness Status Data I/M Readiness option allows you to view a snapshot of the operations for the emission system on OBDII/EOBD vehicles.

What is I/M readiness?

I/M Readiness is a useful function used to check if all monitors are OK or N/A. The vehicle's computer performs tests on the emission system during normal driving conditions. After a specific amount of drive time (each monitor has specific driving conditions and time required), the computer's monitors decide if the vehicles emission system is working correctly.

When the monitor's status is:

OK - vehicle was driven enough to complete the monitor.

INC (Incomplete) - vehicle was not driven enough to complete the monitor.

N/A (Not Applicable) - vehicle does not support that monitor.

There are two types of I/M Readiness tests:

Since DTCs Cleared - shows status of the monitors since the DTCs were last cleared.

This Drive Cycle - shows status of monitors since the start of the current drive cycle.

How to use Vident iLink400 code reader to retrieve I/M readiness status data:

There are two ways to retrieve I/M Readiness Status data:

One-click I/M readiness key

Typical way: select I/M Readiness from Diagnostic Menu

To retrieve I/M Readiness Status data by one-click I/M readiness key:

1. Press the One-Click I/M Readiness Key on the keypad and the following screen displays

1. Colored LED and build-in beeper provide both visual and audible reminders for emission check and DTCs. Below is the interpretation of the LED and build-in beeper.

When the LED is :

Green:

Indicates that engine systems are "OK" and working properly (the number of Monitors equipped with the vehicle which have run and performed their self-diagnostic testing is in the allowed range. MIL is off. ).No stored and pending DTCs exist. The vehicle is ready for an Emissions Test.

Yellow:

The tool finds a possible problem. It indicates the following two conditions:

(1) Pending DTCs exist. Please check the I/M Readiness test result screen and use the Read Codes function to view detailed codes information.

(2) Some of the vehicle's emission monitors have not working properly. If the I/M Readiness screen shows no DTC (including pending DTC), but the Yellow LED is still illuminated, it indicate a "Monitor Has Not Run" status.

Red- Indicates some problems exist with one or more of the vehicle's system, and the vehicle is not ready for an Emissions Test. As well there are DTCs found. The MIL lamp on the vehicle's instrument panel will light steady. The problem that is causing the illumination of Red LED should be fixed before an Emissions Test or driving the vehicle further.

The built-in beeper works with the colored LED simultaneous, as an assistance to reflect the I/M Readiness test results:

Green: two long beeps.

Yellow: short, long, short beeps.

Red: four short beeps.

To retrieve I/M Readiness Status data :

1.Scroll with UP/DOWN key to highlight I/M Readiness from Diagnostic Menu and press the OK key. If vehicle supports both types of monitors, a screen for monitor type selection displays. Select a monitor type and press the OK key.

2.If the vehicle is tested supports both types of monitors, following screen displays.

3.Depending on readiness test, one of these 2 screens will be present. Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through data. Press the ESC key to exit.

Purpose:

I m making key. The old has been changed because km clock does not work. I v got pincode and CS code. I go to key learn. Diag find the car. do learn. Get message adaptation finish but car not start.

Correct procedure:

With vvdi2:

Old cluster:

Read immo data and mileage. Save file.

New cluster.

Read immo data and mileage. Save file.

Open old cluster immo data file. Write it to cluster. Write original mileage to cluster.

Reset cluster, job done and it will work with original keys. If any problems recode keys, but I never needed it.

The way to read immo for golf 5 can immo 4 car with Xhorse VVDI2:

Immo data cloned from old cluster. It's very easy to do... just plug the VVDI2 device to the car and it will read immo directly.

How to Solve Communication Loss Renault Can Clip Alliance VI (926573)

This is a issue and solution of Can Clip Renault Alliance VI (926573) communication loss.

I want to share the positive results of the improvements made.
The disease of the new series is frequent breaks in communication.
I have this kind of photo 1.

POSSIBLE REASON

RF INTERFERENCE DUE TO POOR HIGH-FREQUENCY ISOLATION IN THE 5 V SUPPLY CIRCUIT.

Analyzed and made sure that the problem is only in the CAN board.

• By replacing the boards with an ideally working Clip, it is confirmed that the defect is in the CAN board.
• The current consumption of the Clip is measured in different modes of the Kan Clip program. Measurements on the table - only 12v power is connected to the OBD2 connector of the Clip.
• The output voltages of the sources 12b, 5c, 3c are measured - they correspond and are stable in different modes.

Consumption currents

• After connecting = 140Ma
• At the request of VIN = 190Ma
• When scanning multisets = up to 190Ma
• In the monitoring mode = 140Ma
• In the sleep mode (one green LED flashes) = 90mA

And, that in the sample probe, that in the probe with the termination of the connection - the currents are the same !!

At the time of termination of the connection (ON Clip does not see Alliance VI)

• Current = 140mA - as in the monitoring mode.
• All RF voltages on quartz resonators are presentwithout any amplitude changes.
• All the voltages of the stabilized sources are normal.

In this case, the percentage of CAN of the board issues a command "the connection with the Alliance probe" was lost and, interestingly, the computer does not lose the probe !

This is evident in - System Properties-Device Manager - 1B-Alliance Vehicule Communication Interface !!!

To restore communication with the probe, you need to turn the power on and off on it and restart the Clip software. Some kind of chip is hanging ! It looks like a processor.

- Starting with an installed (32 bit) Windows XP Pro SP3, ".NET 3.5 SP1" (I had FireFox and 7Zip also installed).
- Download and Install "VC++ 2008 Redistributable Package", a copy is available here "C:\teleassistance\visualC\vcredist_x86.exe" after installing Diagbox.
- Diagbox installs without issues on VMware Workstation and Player, but the below preparation is needed for Diagbox 7.62+ and V8.xx.
Preparation for Installing Diagbox 8.01 on VirtualBox
- Having installed 32 bit Windows + VirtualBox Guest Additions + .NET 3.51 and VC++ 2008 Redistributable Package, you can use the Powershell command "Get-WMIObject win32_BIOS" or the "DMIdecode" tool to obtain BIOS information.
- Start an administrator's CMD and navigate to "C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\", and execute the following command (Replacing "Your VM" with your Virtual Machine's name, and System Serial with your hardware's, like "CDN29326BH", any other code may also work):
C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox>VBoxManage setextradata "Your VM""VBoxInternal/Devices/pcbios/0/Config/DmiSystemSerial""System Serial"
Installing Diagbox 8.01
1- Install Diagbox 7.01 and run update 7.02 then install update 7.xx-7.57 (or any v7.45+ update that creates "C:\AWRoot\dtwr\cfg\Config.sys")
2- Restart the computer and rename "C:\AWRoot" to "C:\AWRoot7" (you may need to stop some Diagbox processes)
3- Run Diagbox 8.01 installation until it requests Activation. Close it and run the tool "AWRoot_v7_Conf+Ativation_v8.exe" it will inject the necessary files and copy the configuration from "C:\AWRoot7".
4- Run Diagbox, it should continue the installation successfully.
Done !, Restart Diagbox 8.01 (as Administrator) to confirm all is well. If you face an issue, run the activation tool again and/or review "version.ini" as below.
Installing Updates
1- Download and install "Diagbox_updt_802.ISO" update.
2- Download and install subsequent updates or Maitresox updates.
Versions
The order of the version lines and which is active in VERSION.INI is important for the running of the system. Diagbox will display 08.01 if set as shown below. But Lexia will NOT work with "version.ini" set to V08.xx active (xx is the version number depending on which update is applied).

If Lexia is started with "version=08.xx" active, "APPDIAG.SYS" will be corrupted and it will need to be restored before Diagbox will work again. To operate Lexia (after starting Diagbox with 8.xx), edit "version.ini" and comment/save "version=08.xx" (by inserting ";" as shown below) BEFORE starting Lexia.
Setting "version.ini" to 07.xx (by removing or commenting "version=8.xx" permanently) will prompt Diagbox to report V 07.xx, but everything will work fine..

Updates
- Diagbox v7 and v8 install and run on all x86 including Windows 10 TH1, TH2, RS1 and RS2.
- Entering a System Serial for the Virtual Machine (as described above) resolves the "psaAagent.exe" and the missing tabs issue on VirtualBox.
- If you get "Error 2" after restarting Diagbox, try commenting "version=8.xx" in "version.ini" before restarting Diagbox again.
P.S. Diagbox has been running on Firmware 4.3.4 since 7.66/8.02.

I have planet and also being a newbie installed planet then Diagbox they both worked fine though Diagbox was a lot slower (you have to start Diagbox then choose planet off the option list) so basically if its just for use on your own car then using planet on its own is easier and faster though if your going to attempt using the interface on other vehicles may as well install Diagbox with planet and Lexia

planet PP2000 is for Peugeot
put both programmes into one software = Diagbox
if your going to buy it you might asswell get Diagbox which most new interfaces come with anyway.
Both Lexia &PP2000 available within Diagbox
They are the same.... the discs supplied usually contain PP2000 and Diagbox on one disc (PP2000 is also available within the Diagbox installation), and Lexia for Citroens on the other. Lexia is also available within Diagbox.
So if you find an interface with rev C, the software discs will contain everything you need and more.
PP2000 on 32-bit, Diagbox on 64-bit
Planet will only run on 32-bit. Diagbox will run on 64-bit, but when you try to call Planet through Diagbox it will crash because it must have 32-bit.
What I do is install VMWare Player (free). Using that, create a virtual machine XP SP3 32-bit (you will need the disk and key). Then install Planet into that. Works well. Sounds very techy, but it is surprisingly easy, because VMWare is so well documented. When installing Planet, do not plug the Lexia interface in to the PC until prompted.
Planet &Diagbox are software Lexia cable required
The Lexia is the cable required to use the software. Only the cable.
To use the cable you will need software as well, Peugeot Planet and Diagbox are the 2 pieces of software to choose from.
Diagbox is much newer software that supports even the latest cars. However I prefer the interface of Peugeot Planet, much easier not to get lost in there.
Generally when you buy a Lexia software will be included on a disk. As to whether it is genuine or not, you should check with the seller before purchase.
How to use Lexia 3 Citroen:

Look carefully at BSI, you'll find this option. Yes Diagbox certainly give advice on this topic but I think PP2000 it should give advice. Unfortunately, I will not give you exact instructions because I do not remember.
You must have CODE CARD with PIN.
If you have security code(pin code) should not be a problem to do this, PP2000 displays it step by step. One more thing if you have new key but it is china copy you will not be able to sync central locking.
How to use PP2000 for key programming:
There are two codes, one code for physically cutting the key (8 characters I think), and one code for the transponder (4 characters)
You open upPP2000, go into Accessories I think, orNewEquipment, and select transponder key.
It then guides you through it, reprogramming each key to the car, step by step.
First it asks for the transponder code as above, then it asks how many keys there are for the car. Input the total number of keys you have for the car (including the new one), then it will take you through step by step, starting with your main key.
It only take a minute or so for each key.
NOTE: PSA-COM Bluetooth should be a better choice for PSA cars programming!

Lexia 3 PP2000 ECU Fault Code P0299 P1351 P1164 P2562:
The ECU faults are, loss of turbo boost under load and intermittent problems with starting. I've changed the glow plugs but not yet tested to see if the heater relay is working.
Checked my DPF load and it says 65% with last regen ~650km's ago. Additive levels are good.
Seems the turbo boost issue is something to do with the boost solenoid?
Once I get these issues sorted, I can de-fap it.
PS. I've sorted the clutch and brake switch issues.

Cleared the codes and ran it up the dual carriageway to get the fault.
The clutch one is from turning the car off/on while moving when the cruise control was on.
Got the P2562 and a EGR one (p0490).
Car also did a regen recently and is currently at 5% load, atleast the system is working.

The language change is achieved by replacing the "**" in "Dico=THESAU**.DBZ" with 2 letters representing the language you want, you can choose any of the 20 available languages.

There are other incidents of "en_GB" that I changed to "fr_FR" in my installation. But I think the above is enough to get you working, you can find them in the INI and few java files....

Lexia resizing and screen positioning
And since I am at it, you can also position and resize Lexia on the screen to your liking by navigation to:
C:\APP\Lexia\EXE\ and finding the file: "ecran.ini".. open it using notepad and under:

How to rework Lexia 3 PCB as Original:
a cheaper Lexia 3 CitroenPeugeot diagnostic tool (sp08-d) for only €52 and there are missing some chip, compared to the original one.

Communicated with the vendor, they say the cheap Lexia 3 is designed with this kind of board as what i got.
On original interface "those caps" are resitors (473) 47k - R5 and R6. Optocouplers seems to be HCPL-063N-000E and HCPL-0500-000E. Also the filter from USB input is ACM2012D-900-2P (TDK) - most of clones have not this USB filter (2 resistors of 0 ohms are used).
On relay pcb the round red component is a varistor and original is V18ZA40P (in most clones is blue and have not the same specifications as the red one).
On relay pcb there is another optocoupler ZJYS51R5-2PT-01 (TDK) on the edge area near relays used for VAN BUS.

He tells me, there mainly are two kinds of Chinese Lexia3 from different factories. One cheaper but lack some chips, the other with full chips of high quality.

A6: PPS2000 work with Peugeot 307, but it is not compatible with Hybrid Diesel Peugeot only with the gasoline car.

Q7: Can Lexia-3 PP2000 (item NO. SP08-C) work with Peugeot 407 2005, after install the NEW DPF, can I reset DPF counter? After Eolys is full, can I reset Eolys counter?
A7: PP2000 supports Peugeot 407 2005, but the DPF and Eolys are truck or diesel car systems, we haven't tested it.

Q8: Would you please store the software Lexia3 PP2000 and Diagbox6.01 in one CD?
A8: No, they are not allowed to store in one CD, they have to be stored them in two different CD, otherwise the software installation will get errors.

Q9: During the installation of Lexia-3, I got ERROR reading "Failure of the activation (error 20)."

A9: we are so sorry; we used to store the Lexia3 PP2000 software and Diagbox v6.01 software in the same one CD, now they are separately stored into two different CD.
